The Ghost Research Society was the very first paranormal group to ever investigate and visit the crash site of Flight 191 in late June of 1979.
History: (see previous investigations) This was the very first time in around 43 years that I
actually stepped foot on the actual crash site. I was the first paranormal
investigator that ever visited this location back in 1979, just months after the
crash. Paul and I were most likely only the second paranormal team to have
actually investigated and walked the actual crash scene.
Located at: near the trailer court at 320 W. Touhy Ave., Des Plaines, IL 60016
Hauntings: (see
past investigations for full history of possible paranormal activity)
Equipment
setup: Since
we were on the move, we only used a digital recorder, cell phone and
Experiments
performed: A
single ParaTek app session was conducted along the original road photographed by
Kaczmarek in 1979 at 1:23pm.
The GRS investigated here on May 25, 2022.
Team
members included: Paul Adams and Dale Kaczmarek
Personal
experiences:
Dale Kaczmarek:
When we
first parked in the parking lot of the storage lot, I noticed that it was almost
completely empty which was strange. I had never seen it so desolate in any past
visit here. We were soon approached by a manager of the facility that informed
us that we could either drive or walk onto the actual property which we
immediately did.
There were no no trespassing, keep out or private
property signs so Paul and I walked into the driveway just short of where the
construction crews were in the process of building a ramp towards O’Hare.
Several individuals entered the area in trucks and politely waved to us and did
not ask us why we were here or told us to leave. That was cool!
Evidence
collected: None
just some random words.
Words spoken by
the ParaTek app: far, here, inner, quiz, truck, batty, weak, harvest, here,
left, feel, 4, left, adult, language, five, scared, thin, wanted, information,
Chloe & breaker.
Conclusions: This
investigation I don’t believe that we got any real intelligent responses or
interactions; however there were some random words that made a lot of sense to
the crash. The word “left” came through twice and it was significant that
the jet’s left engine did detach during rotation and later when the aircraft
became airborne it rolled to the left.
The damaged left wing with no engine produced far less
lift than the right wing, which had its slats still deployed and its engine
providing full takeoff thrust. That word “left” didn’t click for me until
sometime later when reviewing the EVP session.
The two words together “adult language” makes some
sense because the engine detached the Flight Engineer was heard on the VCR
(voice cockpit recorder) as saying one word, “Damn!”
Another word that was very relevant was “scared.” Since the cockpit had been equipped with a closed-circuit television camera positioned behind the captain’s shoulder and connected to view screens in the passenger cabin, the passengers may have witnessed these events from the viewpoint of the cockpit as the aircraft dove towards the ground. It’s no wonder the passengers were “scared” and probably saw the ground coming up before the crash. The violent rolling to a 112° left wing down would have been a hellish ride for those terrified passengers.
